2026 World Cup: Black Stars travel to Kansas City on Wednesday for knockout clash against Colombia

Ghana’s Black Stars are scheduled to travel to Kansas City, Missouri, on Wednesday, July 1, 2025, ahead of their Round of 32 fixture at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The West African side will face Colombia on Friday, July 3, 2026, in what promises to be a high-stakes knockout encounter as the tournament intensifies.

Following their qualification to the next round, head coach Carlos Queiroz granted the squad a day’s rest to recover from the demands of the group stage.

Training will resume with a double session on Tuesday at Bryant University near Smithfield, featuring both morning and evening work on the pitch.

The team will then complete a final morning session on Wednesday before departing later that day for Kansas City.

Ghana advanced to the knockout stage as one of the best third-placed teams, finishing Group I with four points.

They placed behind England, who topped the group with seven points, and Croatia, who finished second with six.
