2026 World Cup: Ghana will go for a win against Croatia - Carlos Queiroz vows
Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has insisted his side will take an attacking approach when they face Croatia in their final Group L match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars go into the decisive encounter against the 2018 World Cup finalists knowing that a draw would be enough to secure qualification to the Round of 32.
Ghana opened their campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Panama before holding England to a disciplined goalless draw, results that have left them in control of their own destiny heading into the final group fixture.
Despite the favourable situation, Queiroz has ruled out any suggestion of a cautious or defensive strategy, stressing that his team’s identity will not change based on permutations.
Speaking ahead of the match, the Portuguese tactician made his intentions clear.
“A lot of talk about attack and defense but I only know how to play to win, and that’s what we will do against Croatia,” Queiroz declared.
