Ghana Premier League: Aduana FC announce Samuel Boadu as new head coach

Ghana Premier League side Aduana Stars have confirmed the appointment of Samuel Boadu as their new head coach ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 campaign.

The experienced Ghanaian tactician arrives at the Dormaa-based club from Berekum Chelsea following the expiry of his contract, bringing with him a strong reputation in domestic football.

In an official statement, the club said: “Aduana Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Samuel Boadu as the club’s new Head Coach.”

Boadu takes over from Cioba Aristica, who has departed after the conclusion of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The former Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC coach is widely regarded as one of the league’s most successful modern managers, having led Hearts of Oak to a historic domestic double in 2021, winning both the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup.

Aduana Stars ended the recently completed season in ninth place, recording 14 wins, 10 draws and 10 defeats from 34 matches.

The club will be hoping Boadu’s experience, tactical structure and attacking philosophy can help them mount a stronger challenge for honours in the new season.

His appointment also makes him the second Ghana Premier League-winning coach to manage Aduana Stars, following in the footsteps of Paa Kwesi Fabin.
