2025/26 GPL: Didi Dramani hails Hearts of Oak's collective effort after third-place finish
Former Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has praised his players and technical staff for their commitment and resilience after guiding the club to a third-place finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians endured a challenging start to the campaign, suffering an early and unexpected exit from the MTN FA Cup at the hands of True Life FC.
Despite the setback, Hearts gradually improved as the season progressed, although inconsistency at home prevented them from mounting a stronger title challenge.
Reflecting on the club’s performance, Dramani described the achievement as a collective success, stressing that the team had overcome several obstacles to secure a place among the league’s top three clubs.
“Considering the challenges we faced and where we started, our third-place finish in the Ghana Premier League was a job by the team,” Dramani told Asempa FM.
The experienced coach noted that expectations were high at the beginning of the season, but the squad’s determination, unity and hard work helped them navigate difficult periods and remain competitive throughout the campaign.
Dramani reserved special praise for his players, highlighting their willingness to embrace the team’s philosophy and maintain focus despite the setbacks encountered during the season.
The former Black Stars assistant coach also commended the club’s technical and backroom staff for their contributions, insisting that the achievement was the result of a united effort from everyone involved rather than the work of a few individuals.
