Ghana’s Black Maidens have left Accra for Monrovia, Liberia, as they prepare for the second leg of their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie.
The team travelled on Tuesday aboard Asky Air, with preparations stepping up ahead of the decisive return fixture.
A delegation comprising 24 players, 14 officials and two members of the management team made the trip as Ghana looks to complete the job after a commanding first-leg display.
The Maidens produced a dominant performance in the opening encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium, sweeping aside their opponents with a 6-0 victory to take firm control of the tie.
The technical team will continue final preparations in Monrovia as the side targets another strong showing to secure progression to the next stage of the qualifiers.
The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign remains a key focus for the Black Maidens, who are pushing to maintain Ghana’s presence on the global stage.
