2025/26 GPL Matchay 32 wrap up: Asante Kotoko return to winning ways as Medeama beat Basake Holy Stars to extend lead

Matchday 32 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League produced exciting results across the country as the battle for the title and survival intensified.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak were frustrated by Aduana FC in a goalless draw in a closely fought encounter.

In Kumasi, Asante Kotoko returned to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 victory over relegation-threatened Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Lawson Kyei and Kofi Duah found the net in either half to hand the Porcupine Warriors all three points.

League leaders Medeama SC continued their strong title charge with a hard-fought 1-0 away win against Basake Holy Stars at the AAK II Park.

After a tense first half, Kingsley Braye broke the deadlock in the 71st minute to secure another crucial victory for the Yellow and Mauve side.

At the Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Dreams FC courtesy of an early strike from Kofi Oxborn.

Heart of Lions delivered one of the standout performances of the round with an emphatic 3-0 triumph over FC Samartex at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

Ebenezer Abban, Asante Seedorf Afful and Ishmael Addo all scored in the opening half as the hosts cruised to victory.

At the Swedru Sports Stadium, Swedru All Blacks snatched a dramatic 1-1 draw against Bechem United.

Kofi Tompuo gave the visitors the lead in the 78th minute, but Eric Wiafe struck in stoppage time to rescue a valuable point for the home side.

Meanwhile, Vision FC recorded a dominant 3-0 victory over Karela United at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

Abdoul Nafils Konaté opened the scoring early before Bernard Kwarteng and Zaidan Alhassan added further goals after the break.

Elsewhere, Young Apostles secured a hard-earned 1-0 win over Nations FC at the Wenchi Stadium, with Samuel Prempeh netting the decisive goal in the first half.

In a separate development, Bibiani Gold Stars were awarded three points and three goals following the withdrawal of Hohoe United from the Ghana Premier League.

Following the latest round of matches, Medeama SC, Bibiani Gold Stars, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko occupy the top four positions on the league table, while Nations FC, Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders remain in the relegation zone.
