Okraku urges Black Starlets to stay disciplined ahead of U-17 AFCON campaign
Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has charged the Black Starlets to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to tactical instructions as they prepare for the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ghana has been drawn in Group D alongside Algeria, Senegal, and South Africa for the tournament, which begins later this month.
Addressing the team before their departure, Okraku commended the technical staff for their preparation and encouraged the players to trust the process and execute instructions effectively on the pitch.
“The technical team has done its part, and I trust their guidance," he said.
"Listen to them, stay disciplined, and play for each other. Success will follow if you remain focused and united," Mr Okraku added.
The Black Starlets will begin their tournament campaign on May 14.
As part of their final preparations, the team will face Mali in a friendly match later today at 16:00 GMT.
