Aduana FC Defeat Berekum Chelsea 2–0 to Win Maiden GHALCA Regional Minister’s Cup

Aduana FC has defeated Berekum Chelsea 2–0 to emerge champions of the maiden GHALCA Regional Minister’s Cup held at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro in the Bono Region.

The goals, scored in the 55th and 71st minutes by Ben Dibe and Desmond Obeng, sealed a dominant performance and secured Aduana FC a convincing victory.

For their triumph, Aduana FC received the tournament’s inaugural trophy, which was proudly lifted by team captain Alex Boakye amid jubilant celebrations. The cup was sponsored by the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa. Both Aduana FC and Berekum Chelsea were awarded medals and GH₵40,000 each as appearance fees.

The tournament was organised by the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) in collaboration with the Bono Regional Coordinating Council and the Bono Regional Football Association (BARFA). Earlier in the day, BA United defeated Tano Bofoakwa 2–0 to win the curtain-raiser match.

The maiden Bono Minister’s Cup was designed to promote sports development, strengthen community bonds, and foster unity across the Bono Region. The December 24, 2025 fixture brought together top regional teams, including Aduana FC and Berekum Chelsea, in a spirited display of football excellence.

Speaking at the event, Bono Regional Minister Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa said the cup represents discipline, teamwork, and the values needed to build strong communities and a progressive region.
