Super Clash: We did not deserve to lose against Asante Kotoko, says Hearts of Oak coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani

Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani believes his team’s performance did not warrant a defeat in Sunday’s highly anticipated clash with Asante Kotoko.

The Phobians fell 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in their Matchday 9 fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.

A first-half penalty expertly converted by Guinean forward Morifing Donzo sealed the win for Kotoko, who remain the only unbeaten side in the campaign so far.

Reflecting on the match, Dramani acknowledged the loss but maintained that the outcome did not mirror the balance of play.

“We lost. I think we didn’t deserve to lose, in my opinion, and everyone who observed the game, not just watching," he said.

He, however, admitted his side fell short in key aspects.

"We didn’t do well in some areas, and we need to improve,” Dramani added.

The defeat leaves Hearts of Oak fifth on the league table with 16 points.

Hearts of Oak will now travel to the Swedru Sports Stadium next, where they face Swedru All Blacks in their Matchday 10 encounter.
