Europa League: Baba Rahman scores as POAK beat Young Boys

Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman marked a memorable night in the Europa League, scoring his first goal in the competition as PAOK cruised to a commanding win over Young Boys on Thursday.

Rahman capped a fine performance with a well-taken strike in the 76th minute to wrap up a 4-0 triumph at the Toumba Stadium.

The former Chelsea left back had earlier set up the opening goal, delivering a precise pass for Alessandro Bianco to fire home shortly after the break.

Giorgos Giakoumakis doubled the lead eight minutes later, before Giannis Konstantelias added a third in the 72nd minute to put PAOK firmly in control.

The Swiss visitors’ night unravelled early when Armin Gigovic was sent off in the sixth minute, leaving Young Boys to battle with 10 men for most of the contest.

The win pushes PAOK into the top ten of the Europa League standings after four group-stage matches.

The 31-year-old has now contributed two goals and two assists in 15 appearances across all competitions for the Greek side.
