Al Qadsiah announce signing of Ghana winger Christopher Bonsu Baah from KRC Genk

Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah have completed the signing of Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah in a deal reportedly valued at €15 million.

The 19-year-old joins the club on a four-year contract from Belgian outfit KRC Genk, marking a major milestone in his budding career.

Despite the lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, sources close to the player say a return to European football remains part of his long-term ambitions.

Bonsu Baah’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. After early trials with elite clubs such as Barcelona, Manchester United, and Borussia Dortmund, his breakthrough came in 2023 when he left Ghanaian third-division side Shooting Stars for Norwegian top-tier team Sarpsborg.

Following just 12 appearances in Norway, the talented forward drew interest from across Europe, ultimately signing with Genk.

In two seasons with the Belgian side, he made 90 appearances, scoring five goals and recording seven assists.

His progress has also earned him international recognition, with recent appearances for the Black Stars in friendly matches against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago, signaling his growing importance to Ghana’s national team.
