Isaac Amoako set to return to Asante Kotoko as goalkeepers' trainer
Asante Kotoko is in discussions to hire former club captain Isaac Amoako as their new goalkeepers' coach.
This move comes after the departure of Najahu Issah, who had served as the club's goalkeeper trainer for several years.
Amoako is set to bring his extensive experience and proven success in goalkeeper development to enhance the Porcupine Warriors’ preparations for the upcoming season.
A familiar face to Kotoko supporters, Amoako first joined the club in 2007 from BA United following a standout debut season in the Ghana Premier League.
He went on to spend a decade with the Reds, securing four Ghana Premier League titles and six FA Cups while establishing himself as one of the league's top and most reliable goalkeepers.
After retiring from professional football, Amoako transitioned into coaching and has since worked with Dreams FC, Nsoatreman FC, and Medeama SC, honing his skills as a goalkeeping coach.
