CONFIRMED: Christopher Ennin replaces Nurudeen Amadu as FC Samartex new head coach

Defending Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex have announced Christopher Ennin as their new head coach.

Ennin takes over from Nurudeen Amadu, who departed following a string of disappointing results. Despite leading Samartex to their maiden Premier League title, the team faced early exits in both the FA Cup and the CAF Champions League's preliminary round.

In a statement, the club expressed their confidence in the new appointment, saying, "Chris is our man. We are delighted to confirm that Christopher Ennin has agreed to become the club’s new Head Coach."

Ennin brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously managed Berekum Chelsea. Most recently, he was head coach of Eswatini Premier League side Moneni Pirates, a position he left to take up this opportunity at Samartex.

His immediate task will be to rejuvenate the team's performance, with Samartex sitting on just 17 points from 14 matches in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Samartex will look to bounce back when they host Nations FC in their upcoming league fixture at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
