Liverpool aim to sign Antoine Semenyo as potential Mohamed Salah's replacement

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo as a possible successor to Mohamed Salah, whose contract expires at the end of the season, according to Sky Sports.

The club’s scouting team, led by Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes, has been focusing on emerging talent to potentially fill key positions in the coming year.

Semenyo, currently with Bournemouth, has stood out as a leading candidate.

The 24-year-old has been making strides in the Premier League, scoring five goals in his last 14 appearances last season and adding three more in nine matches this season under head coach Andoni Iraola.

Semenyo’s performances have also caught the attention of other Premier League clubs, including Newcastle, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur.

His ambition to play in European competitions makes Liverpool an appealing option.

“I aspire to compete in the Champions League or Europa League,” Semenyo told The Athletic last month. “I know it requires dedication and isn’t something achieved overnight. I need to stay consistent and keep scoring to move forward in my career.”
