Danlad Ibrahim joins Ethiopian side Coffee SC after Asante Kotoko exit
Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has officially joined Ethiopian Premier League side Ethiopian Coffee FC following his departure from Asante Kotoko.
The 21-year-old has inked a two-year contract with the East African club after ending his eight-year tenure with the Porcupine Warriors.
Danlad's contract with Asante Kotoko expired last month, and he did not agree to a renewal.
Throughout his time at Asante Kotoko, Danlad played a key role, earning recognition at various levels of Ghana’s national teams, including the U-17, U-20, U-23, and the senior Black Stars squad.
He was also a member of the Black Stars' final roster for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Ethiopian Coffee SC, who secured a third-place finish in the Ethiopian Premier League last season, aims to strengthen their squad in hopes of competing for the league title in the upcoming campaign.
Founded in 1976, Ethiopian Coffee SC is one of the oldest and most popular football clubs in Ethiopia, celebrated for their passionate supporters and rich footballing heritage.
The club has won several Ethiopian Premier League titles and remains a symbol of pride in Ethiopian football.
