I knew I could transform Nsoatreman FC - Maxwell Konadu after FA Cup glory
Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu credits his self-belief for his decision to join the Nsoatre-based club.
In his debut season, the former Black Stars assistant coach led the team to FA Cup victory, overcoming regional rivals in a thrilling final on Sunday.
Nsoatreman FC triumphed over Bofoakwa Tano 5-4 in a penalty shootout after the match ended 1-1 in extra time. Richard Dzikoe put Bofoakwa ahead in the 22nd minute, but Sadat Mohammed equalized in the 79th minute following a mishandling by Tano goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi.
After securing the prestigious trophy, Konadu reflected on his motivation to join the newly promoted club, attributing it to his confidence in his coaching abilities.
“I knew I could transform the team because I believe in what I have. When you believe in yourself, it’s the beginning of everything,” said the former Asante Kotoko coach.
“The self-belief did a lot. It motivated me to sign the contract with Nsoatreman,” he added.
Nsoatreman FC will represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
