Incredible goal - Gary Neville praises Mohammed Kudus after scoring stunning bicycle kick goal against Man City

Manchester United icon Gary Neville has lauded Mohammed Kudus for his spectacular bicycle kick goal against Manchester City.

In the closing match of the 2023/24 Premier League season, West Ham visited the Etihad Stadium on a Sunday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola's squad needed a victory to clinch their fourth consecutive Premier League title.

Manchester City seized an early advantage with two quick goals from Phil Foden, seemingly cruising towards the championship.

However, Kudus shifted the momentum at the Etihad Stadium with a breathtaking goal in the 42nd minute.

The goal stemmed from an inswinging corner by James Ward-Prowse. After Gvardiol failed to clear, a West Ham player headed the ball, which then found its way to Kudus.

The former Ajax standout deftly flicked the ball up to himself and executed a flawless overhead kick past goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, concluding the first half at 2-1.

Nevertheless, after the break, Rodri reinstated the home side's two-goal lead with a strike from the edge of the area in the 59th minute, sealing the match 3-1 and securing the Premier League title for the fourth consecutive time.

Reacting to Kudus's stunning finish on Sky Sports, Neville drew comparisons to a similar feat by Alejandro Garnacho earlier in the season for Manchester United.

“An incredible goal. It’s similar to the Alejandro Garnacho goal at Everton. It is brilliant from Mohammed Kudus,” Neville said.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus has netted 14 goals for West Ham United across various competitions in his debut Premier League season.

Kudus will now shift his focus to the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers with the Black Stars against Mali and the Central African Republic on June 6th and 10th, respectively, in Bamako and at the Baba Yara Stadium.
