Algerian side MC Alger part ways with former Hearts of Oak midfielder Joseph Esso

Algerian side, MC Alger have announced they have mutually parted ways with Ghanaian forward, Joseph Esso.

The 26-year-old joined the North African side from Dreams FC during the 2020/21 season.

Esso, who is a former Hearts of Oak forward contributed to ten goals in the second round; having scored seven and provided three assists in eighteen appearances for the Mouloudias.

In his second season, Esso scored only three times with an assist in thirty-three appearances, which couldn't match his impact in the previous campaign.

However, he struggled for playing time and scored and assisted one each in his last season.

"Thank you, Esso. Mouloudia Algeria club management has reached an agreement with Ghanaian player Joseph Esso to terminate the contract that links him to the team by compromise," a club statement read.

"The 'Dean' management extends its thanks to the player for everything he has given to the team during his tenure in the green and red shirt and for treating him with good behaviour for two and a half seasons and wishes him all the best in his next trial."
