Speaking to Citi Sports, Metro Sports and Radio Windy Bay, Abbiw Jackson, Board Member of the Ghana Swim League says, “When you engage young kids in sports, it is good for their health, their physical health, their mental health, their outlook, their confidence and all. Just organizing this competition helps these kids and sometimes we miss out. All we look for is where will we send them? That is limited to the best of the best if you want to go outside the country to have competitions,” he added.
Nonetheless, Board Members Christopher Essilfie and Ralph Quaye were equally in attendance and Charles Mensah was the leader of all the GSL officials as numerous supporters and parents of the athletes equally made their presence felt with their cheers. Meanwhile, the Ghana Swim League Meet of Champions is scheduled to take place later in June 2023 at the GAF Sports Complex in Burma Camp.
