Evans Adotey returns to Medeama SC as Technical Director
Veteran trainer, Evans Adotey has been named as the new technical director of the Medeama SC.
The experienced will be with the club until the end of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Augustine Evans Adotey as the Club’s Technical Director till the end of the season,” the club said in a statement on Monday.
The Yellow and Mauve have struggled to maintain their form in the ongoing season.
Medeama who sit on 7th on the league log with 31 points will hope Adotey turns things around for the club.
He is expected to be in the dugout when they host Great Olympics in the matchday 22 games at Akoon Park.
The 58-year-old trainer has been unattached after ending his stay at Premier League outfit Karela United as head coach in 2021.
Adotey led Medeama SC as interim coach to clinch their first-ever FA Cup in 2013 and aided them to finish fourth on the Ghana Premier League log during the 2012/13 season's campaign.
He later served as Medeama SC technical director from 2015 to 2017.
During his four-year period with the Tarkwa-based club as interim head coach, assistant coach and technical director, he helped the club to win two Ghanaian FA Cups in 2013 and 2015 and the Ghana Super Cup in 2017.
Adotey, who was Black Maidens coach from 2014 to 2019, lead the female national U17 team to three consecutive quarter-final places in three FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup campaigns.
