Black Stars Derek Boateng gives to Osu Children’s Home
Black Stars midfielder Derek Boateng has donated six millions cedis in cash and food items worth 10 millions cedis including bags of rice, sugar, tins of milo and cartons of milk among others to the Osu Children's Home.
The Black Stars player, who plies his trade in Israel with Beitar Jerusalem told the press after the ceremony that he was moved by the plight of the children in the Home, adding that the gesture was a show of appreciation to God for his life.
Currently on holidays in the country following a short break in the Israeli league, he promised to remain a regular supporter of the home by donating to them anytime he was in the country on holidays.
The midfielder a member of Ghana's squad that participated in the 2006 World Cup in Germany appealed to the teachers and supervisors of the orphanage to continue with their good work for the home and later interacted with the children.
