2022 World Cup: Six players arrive at Black Stars camp ahead of playoff games against Nigeria - Reports
Six players have reportedly arrived at the camp of the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup playoff games against Nigeria this weekend.
The technical team arrived on Sunday together with some players. However, majority of the players invited are expected to arrive by the close of the day to begin preparation for the games.
Swindon Town goalkeeper Joojo Wollacott who played all games at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations held in Cameroon is in town.
Also, Hearts of defender Dennis Korsah who was given a late call up to replace Reading left-back Abdul Baba Rahman has joined the other players.
Andy Yiadom, Richmond Boakye Yiadom, Columbus Crew midfielder Yaw Yeboah and Sheriff Tiraspol midfielder Edmond Addo are currently in camp.
The team is expected to fly to Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon to continue with the fine-tuning before the game on Friday.
The first leg tie will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, March 25 before the reverse game on March 29 at the Abiola National Sports Stadium in Abuja.
The winner of the tie book a place in the Mundial scheduled to be hosted in Qatar later this year.
