Legendary Sammy Kuffour's nephew Matai Akimboni set to join Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich

Matai Akimboni, the nephew of Samuel Osei Kuffour, is set to join the Bundesliga powerhpuse, Bayern Munich.

The 14-year-old will join the youth team where he will undergo development until he is old enough to test his might in the first team.

Akimboni can feature for America and Nigeria as he has roots in the two countries.

Sammy Kuffour made a huge mark in Bayern Munich, winning a number of titles including the UEFA Champions League in 2001.

Kuffour was part of Ghana's squad that qualified the country for its maiden World Cup appearance in 2006 in Germany.

The former Black Stars man is now into punditry, featuring for SuperSport and has a CAF A coaching license.
