Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo included in La Liga ToTW after top performance for Celta Vigo
Ghana international, Joseph Aidoo has been named in the SofaScore Spanish La Liga Team of the Week for matchday 36 following his top performance for Celta Vigo in midweek.
The Black Stars centre-back has missed games in recent matches as a result of an injury setback.
Now back to full fitness, Joseph Aidoo was called into action on Wednesday when his Celta Vigo side locked horns with Getafe at the Municipal de Balaidos.
Playing in his usual centre-back role, the hardworking defender played well and helped his team’s back four to shutout the opponent.
Courtesy of a goal scored by veteran Nolito after he was assisted by Santi Mina, Celta Vigo cruised to a narrow 1-0 win to ensure they bagged the maximum three points.
For his displays at the back, Joseph Aidoo earned a SofaScore rating of 7.9 in the game against Getafe. As a result of the high score, he has today been named in the Spanish La Liga Team of the Week for Matchday 36.
