Hearts sack Oti Akenteng
Francis Oti Akenteng has been dismissed as coach of Accra Hearts of Oak following another disheartening performance by the Phobians in the African Champions League.
The management of Hearts cited non-performance and divided attention among others for the dismissal of the coach who doubles as handler of the national under-20 team.
Hearts were hapless as they went down a shocking 3-nil to Ivorian club Asec Mimosas in Abidjan on Sunday.
The defeat was the second high profile loss for the 2000 champions in two weeks.
And it brought the tally of goals conceded by the team in the Champions League to five after just two games.
The Phobians were hoping to revive their campaign after a stuttering start in Obuasi following a 2-0 defeat to Nigeria's Enyimba FC.
