Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru Enjoys Austrian Bundesliga Success With Salzburg

Ghana international, Majeed Ashimeru has won the Austrian Bundesliga title with his Red Bull Salzburg team as they prepare to wrap up the 2019/2020 football season.

A deserving 3-0 whipping of Hartberg on Sunday night saw the Austrian giants opening a 9 points gap on second-placed Rapid Wien on the standings of the division.

On the matchday, Majeed Ashimeru enjoyed minutes as he was introduced in the second half to replace Andreas Ulmer on the 70th minute.

Prior to his introduction, goals from Andre Ramalho, Hwang Hee-chan, and Patson Daka had given Salzburg a 3-goal lead. The side held on at the Red Bull Arena and finished in class as they celebrated the league triumph.

Majeed Ashimeru, 22, has made 19 appearances this season and has 2 goals and 3 assists to his name.

The midfielder’s contribution to the league success cannot be overlooked even though he has most often been used as a substitute.

This becomes his second trophy with Red Bull Salzburg this season following Domestic Cup triumph lin May where they defeated Austria Lustenau in the final to lift the Cup.
