Prioritise Your Health – Uriel Oputa Tells Nigerians After Cubana Chief Priest's Weight Loss

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and entrepreneur Uriel Oputa has called on Nigerians to take their health seriously, using businessman and socialite Cubana Chief Priest as a reference point.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Monday, she questioned what excuse anyone could have if a man with his busy schedule and lifeclass could commit to getting his health in order.

Uriel noted that Cubana Chief Priest travels frequently, lives a lavish lifeclass, and runs multiple businesses, yet still decided to focus on his health. She warned that some people regard a big stomach as a status symbol, stressing that it is not.

She explained that excess belly fat comes with an increased risk of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. According to her, working in a hospital for a year made her see firsthand, what uncontrolled diabetes can do, adding that it is not a joke. She urged people to get serious about their health as 2027 approaches.

In her caption, Uriel noted that Cubana Chief Priest no longer has a big belly, yet some people are still eating Eba for breakfast, warning that they have not yet experienced diabetes. She added that she worked at King's College Hospital in the UK as a student nurse and saw many troubling cases.

"Cubana Chief Priest NO get Belle anymore o.. and you dey chop Eba for breakfast….. continue…. you never Jam Diabetes Before…. I worked at Kings College hospital UK as a student Nurse .. I saw things eh."

"If Cubana Chief Priest can get locked in, WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE?! This man travels back-to-back, lives a lavish lifeclass, is a serial entrepreneur, and somehow still said, 'You know what? Let me get my health together.' And some of you are walking around thinking the big stomach is a status symbol. My friend, it is NOT. That belly comes with increased risk of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke. I worked in a hospital for a year — I've seen what uncontrolled diabetes can do. It is NOT a joke. So if this man can get locked in, what are we waiting for?! 2027 is around the corner. GET. LOCKED. IN."

Uriel's comment comes after Cubana Chief Priest shared an update on Monday about his weight loss journey. He revealed that he can now fit into an XL pyjamas given to him on an Emirates First Class flight, describing the feeling as good and explaining that it reflects his "go hard or go home" mindset.

He stated that he is ready for whatever will make him a big baller, noting that one can actually be what they want to be. He added that when he is done with his weight loss, he wants to know what people will use to mock him again.
