Yinka Quadri Breaks Down In Tears At Ogogo's Eighth-Day Fidau Prayer

Veteran actor Yinka Quadri was left emotional on Monday during the eight-day Fidau prayer held in honour of his late colleague, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

The event, which took place in Ilaro, Ogun State, drew a large gathering of family, friends, and colleagues who came to pay their final respects.

Among those present were notable figures such as Jide Kosoko, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Odunlade Adekola, Faithia Balogun, Isbae U, Mr Latin, Alhaja Salawa Abeni, Baba Ajobiewe, Yemi Elesho, Jigan Baba Oja, and Segun Ogungbe.

Yinka Quadri, who shared a close bond with the late actor, delivered a soothing speech to Ogogo's widow, children, and other family members, urging them to remain steadfast in their faith. However, midway through his address, he was overcome with emotion and broke down in tears, prompting those around him to quickly step in and lead him off the stage.

'Ogogo' passed away on Sunday, August 23 at 3:00 pm at the age of 66, according to a statement issued by his colleague, Jide Kosoko. He was buried on Monday in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, following Islamic rites.

His death has since sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with colleagues and fans paying tribute to the veteran actor.
