Rita Edochie Mocks Judy Austin's Desperate Bid To Claim Edochie Surname
Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has continued her public feud with Judy Austin, mocking her for allegedly abandoning her first partner to pursue a relationship with her nephew, Yul Edochie.
In a post on her Instagram page, Rita described Judy as a "desperate content creator" who has birthed three children in a bid to claim the Edochie surname.
Rita questioned Judy's decision to walk away from a man who had invested time, resources, and sacrifices in her life, only to chase after a married man with four children.
She argued that no amount of children or legal documents can manufacture acceptance from a family.
She wrote:
"Desperation bad oooo. Content creator don born three children because him wan answer Mrs Edochie by all means chaaaaaai!!!!!!!"
"Any woman who abandons the first man that contributed immensely in making her the little thing she is, and goes after a happily married man with four kids, thereby having three extra kids for him, is nothing but a desperate content creator."
"This is where desperation becomes shameless. Imagine a man who invested his time, resources, sacrifices and property into helping you build a future for yourself, only for you to turn around, walk away from that history and chase after a man who was already married with four children. For me, that is not a love story. That is a very painful definition of desperation."
"You cannot eat from one man's table, grow through his sacrifices, benefit from the opportunities he helped create for you, and then turn around as though he never existed the moment you see another man you consider more attractive or more advantageous."
"A surname is not something you win by persistence. A family is not something you conquer by giving birth. And children, no matter how many, do not give you the power to rewrite history. You can have three children with a man. You can have documents. You can have claims. You can have whatever title you choose to use. But there is one thing you cannot manufacture by force: acceptance."
"You may be able to write a name on paper, make claims or fight legal battles over titles and descriptions, but paper cannot create blood, paper cannot create history, paper cannot create love, and paper cannot make you something that people do not accept you as. You can chase that surname from now until your next life, but you cannot force your way into people's hearts."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that Yul Edochie left his first wife, May Edochie, for Judy Austin in 2022, sparking a public feud between Judy and Rita, who has consistently criticized her nephew's decision.
Judy recently filed a N1 billion defamation lawsuit against Rita, further escalating the tension.
