Temitope Osoba's Recent Message Made Her Death Harder To Bear – Debbie Shokoya

Nollywood actress and producer Debbie Shokoya has expressed deep grief over the death of her colleague, Temitope Osoba, describing the loss as painful and unexpected.

In an emotional Instagram post following the announcement of Osoba's passing, Shokoya revealed that a recent message from the late actress made the tragedy even more difficult to process.

Shokoya recounted how Osoba had reached out to her after a long silence, and how she had been thinking of her even before the message arrived. She shared that she had been planning to feature Osoba in a movie and had looked forward to collaborating with her.

She also recalled Osoba's lively personality, her sweet spirit, and her passion for cooking, which she had hoped to experience on set.

She wrote:
"If you didn't message me recently, this pain might not pierce this deep and mess me up as much!! this is really unfair on me!"

"I kept wondering that day, why you messaged me after a long time! because it was even funny that you kept crossing my mind even before you messaged…I kept saying in my mind that I have to do a movie with you, I love you, most especially how you talk! your sweet spirit, the way you relate without holding back!"

"I meant that seeing you at location soon! ever since that day, i kept creating story in my head, you crossed my mind two days ago, I was looking forward to shooting the movie soon! I really looked forward to eating your food at location, because i knew you were a good cook and you enjoyed cooking!!"

"This news broke me all day and i kept shouting why! I kept calling you wicked because you have messed up my mental health! I pray I get out of this space fast. I personally missed the lively talking you even before now! I miss the unique way you talk and gesticulate. that was the you, I was looking forward to show in the movie I was planning to have you on!"

"This hurt me badly and deeply….I wish it's a joke or a prank, i just wish badly!!! I am at peace that the last memory with you, I made you smile. but I wish I did all my plans, I wish so bad!!! I don't want to type those hard words! I pray god forgive your sins."

The Nigerian Voice recently reported that Temitope Osoba passed away on Tuesday evening after a battle with breast cancer. Her death was made public by her colleague Alesh Ola Sanni on Instagram.

Osoba's death has sparked an outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues across social media.
