Predators Or The Sea?: The Gruesome Murder Of The National Service Personnel

The death of *David Nyame*, a National Service personnel who was posted to Fettehman SHS, had been a source of worry to both the family and the entire school populace.

Nyame, who is a reserved personality, did not post a threat in his relationship with others and is seen always presenting *'mine your own business'* attitude.

He was last seen at the Las Vegas Beach on Friday 14th December. His body was found and buried on Saturday around 6am. The search for his missing body began on Sunday after a whistle blower called one of the the tutors in the school to report *Nyame looked like body* buried at the shores.

His death came against the backdrop of a bizarre circumstances which continue to question the credibility of the police in the Fetteh township as well as the opinion leaders.

The account that reported the sad demise of the late Nyame gives a picture of *how some dirt had been swept under the carpet.*

The various versions of the account recorded and reported by both the police and few individuals were pointing to conflicting events.

At first many of us believed the first account of report that *the sea had swallowed him and vomited him the next day.* This to many fishermen isn't right.

We were made to believe this because his predators or assailant (purported) kept his belongings at the beach to gain consistency.

What made this case a more serious matter is the fact that the body of Nyame was hurriedly buried after it was discovered on the shores without recourse to knowing his background. Upon pressing confrontations, Management of Fettehman SHS were made to understand that the body found and buried was a decomposed one and even went ahead to display a photo to prove.

Reports of eye witnesses and with the family now at large, the school authorities demanded for the said body to be exhumed.

In the midst of threats by tutors and other confusing accounts, the police and the town leaders had to bulge. On Monday 17th December, 2018 at exactly 8pm the body was exhumed and lo and behold, the late Nyame had been buried wickedly by whoever gave the order for his burial.

This incident is revealing and it raises a red flag to the fact that some *masked murderers are committing heinous crimes* and asking the sea to take the blame. The level of conceal is deep linking the police and the hotel management who according to report were deeply involved in ordering for the late Nyame's burial at the shores.

It is gradually emerging that the circus of events that took Nyame out of this world might be a gruesome murder committed by some unknown assailants and putting the blame on the innocent sea.

I write this with pain in my heart because of the level of inhuman treatment involved in this incident. The deep conceal that is linking the whole process call for a national security attention. Both the police and the opinion leaders in the town must be investigated seriously as by what authority do they possess to order for a burial of a body found dead at the sea shores.

The various conflicting reports gives a justification for investigative processes to commence as quickly as possible to unravel the perpetrators who might have carried out this murder.

I want appeal to the National Service Authority as well as the Ghana Education Service to be concerned about this incident and ensure that the late Nyame's family get justice for his gruesome demise. We are waiting for the day to be old and hope that the Gomoa Fetteh township is cleansed from such a bizarre circumstances.
