Love to Ahyeresu, Akwakupom and Obodan

It was all joy as residents of Ahyeresu, Akwakupom and Obodan celebrated this year's Christmas with the Hope Journey Christmas with a village team. The celebration an annual event of the Hope Journey, a youth-based Christian charity was held on Tuesday 26th December, 2018. The event brought together pupils, teachers, parents and traditional leaders from the three communities to share the word of God through Charity and play.

Slated for the 26th of December of every year, the program the second of its kind saw the distribution of over 300 educational materials and clothing as well as bibles to the communities that had gathered at Akwakupom. This was amid evangelism by the team with emphasis on Christ and the essence of Christmas which is love. The team was welcomed by the Mankrado of the Akwakupom community who praised the team for their love for development of rural communities through sharing of the word of God and Charity. He urged the team to be determined in their quest for sharing the word of God and making the word of God known to all nations.

The team in community members engaged in entertainment of varying degrees including dancing chairs, random bible quiz on Christmas among others. The Mankrado used the occasion to explain the meaning behind the various communities and their names.

In his address, the founder and leader of Hope Journey Isaac Kwame Owusu, retaliated the aims and objectives of the Hope Journey. He indicated that, the Hope Journey existed to share the word of God to all persons irrespective of their ethnicity, caste or race through charity. He urged young people to be resolute in the love for God and share the word of God at every opportunity they get.

The beautiful ceremony came to an end with a health screening for community members and the sharing of School bags filled with educational materials and clothing to residents amid merriment and fun making.

About the Hope Journey Christmas with a Village

This is a Christmas project, that brings joy and hope to needy children in hard to reach communities through gift-filled school bags and the Good News of God's love.

at least about 550 school bags have been distributed since its inception to Pupils from 4 communities; Addo-Nkwanta (In 2017), Akyeresu (in 2018), Akwakupom (in 2018), and Obodan (in 2018).
