President Akufo Addo Must Not Fail And Cannot Fail - Radio Presenter

Barely two months after he was sworn in as President of Ghana, both identifiable groups and individuals continue to call on the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to make good his promises he made during the 2016 elections. One of such individuals is Onua Fm News Anchor and Co-host of the station’s morning show ‘Yen Nsem Pa’ Nana Yaw Opare.

He underscores the fact that he will be disappointed if the President fails to live a legacy after his tenure, emphasizing that it is only Nana Addo’s government that there are as much as six people who have contested to run this country.

“Nana Addo’s government cannot, will not and must not disappoint Ghanaians. Asempa, this one president who has at least six people who at a point contested to become president of this country and these people are in his government, so if he does not live any legacy I will be disappointed and people of my village New Jejeti shall also be disappointed”

The radio host noted that personality with high profile who are in current administration include, the current Trade and Industry Minister John Alan Kwodwo Kyeremanteng, Minister for Railways and former Second Deputy Speaker Joe Ghatey, and Minister for Regional Reorganization and Development and MP for Okre Dan Kweku Botwe. The rest he posited are Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, Senior Minister Yaw Osarfo Marfo and Dr Frimpong Boateng. Nana Yaw Opare maintained that “the NPP touted they have the men and Ghanaians can see the men, some of who have contested he (Nana) to be at his position and these people we know are high ranking in our society with a lot of experience in governance, so why won’t this government perform”

Nana Yaw Opare believes that with the caliber of experienced hands in the present administration, with the Vice President Dr Mahamoud Bawumia as the head of economic management team, it will be difficult for this government to have an excuse to tell Ghanaians in the event that after four years they have nothing to show.

“I am saying that Dr Bawumia our current Vice President has made us know that they have what it takes to turn this country round, Asempa, this is the time they show us that they did not just talk but can walk the talk. Ghanaians are waiting and watching, if this government fails, with all these people, they have no excuse my brother. The promises must be fulfilled” the radio host asserted.
