Akim Oda Methodist College of Education graduates 146 students
Akim Oda (E/R) Dec. 2, GNA - The Methodist College of Education at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region has held its first graduation ceremony, where Professor Ernest Kofi, a representative of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast conferred on the graduates diplomas.
The first batch of the diploma graduates were 146 out of which 14 students studied Basic Education, Mathematics and Science whilst 132 pursued Basic Education and General Arts.
Nine graduates were awarded with certificates of merit for outstanding performance in Science, Mathematics, English and General Arts programmes.
Mr Badu - Fordjour Anyan the Principal of the Methodist College of Education said the school was established in October 1, 2012 with 174 students but currently had a population of 210 students with 11 permanent teachers, 17 permanent non - academic staff and 11-part time teachers.
