Kofi Dubai Wishes Ghanaians “AMERI” Christmas
Dear Country-Folks,
Some of you country-folks may recall that nearly a year ago, I wrote you a Presidential letter from Dubai where I was spending the Christmas vacation with my family. Well, it is getting to that time of the year again. And what a year it has been.
There will be time to go into that in another letter. But for now, may I wish YOU, and every Opana you know, “AMERI” Christmas.
Talking of AMERI, that name has been quite abuzz on the airwaves lately. Do not be unduly worried, Dear Country-folks. It will blow away like how all the other “create, loot and share” shenanigans have blown away. Ghanaians have short memories.
Already, the gargantuan GNPC payout to a few of my “blessed and highly favoured” is old news. And this select few is laughing all the way to the bank singing “E dey be-ee keh keh, our mentor; Entiee Obiaa, our All-in-All; one-touch, Our Prophet” .
But on this AMERI business, on hindsight, I wish I had scrutinized the deal a little bit more closely. But the truth of the matter is that, I find figures and legalese too daunting to analyze. Anytime, I skim through an “Ameri-like” contract, I have to spend thrice as much time surfing Whatzzup to cool down my brain cells. Indeed, it was on one such brain-cooling spree that I downloaded and listened to Auntie B on Whatzzup. I am told that it was two of my predecessors, Kofi Diawuo and Kofi Asomdwee who loved to read the fine lines. Kofi Boom and I cannot be bothered with those.
As you are no doubt aware by now, the AMERI Company is headquartered in Dubai. Perhaps you will understand it better now when I explained to you last year that my Christmas Vacation in Dubai had a working component to it.
With AMERI, I promise you that dumsor will become a thing of the past. And no cost or expense will be spared even if it means pushing the country into bankruptcy. My re-election hinges in part on AMERI.
“AMERI” Christmas.
Your “incompetency”
President Kofi Dubai
