Two go on stabbing spree at Circle; scores injured
Scores of people have been injured when two men went on a stabbing spree around the tip toe lane at Circle in Accra, Thursday late afternoon.
The men picked their victims at random and stabbed them without any provocation Joy News' Fred Smith gleaned from eyewitnesses.
It is not clear yet the motive for the attacks but eye witnesses say the two had engaged in a serious fight before turning their anger on the innocent victims.
Fred Smith did not see the stabbing but saw two of the victims of the stabbing who had severe face injuries.
The two assailants were later over powered by police personnel, arrested and driven away to an unknown station.
According to Fred Smith, the police did not have it easy arresting the assailants as angry shop owners, traders attempted to lynch the two.
Some of angry traders claimed the two attacked one of their colleagues and they wanted revenge.
Uneasy calm has returned in the area.
