ESICH Life Outdoors Funeral Plan

ESICH Life Assurance Company (ELAC), a life insurance company, in partnership with Lashibi Funeral Home Limited (LFHL), has launched the Lashibi Funeral Plan to provide unique funeral insurance packages to bereaved families.

Speaking at the launch of the product on Thursday in Accra, Manager of ELAC, Richard Adu-Marfo, said ESICH Life is strategically placed to offer comprehensive assurance products to its clients.

He said ESICH Life has provided education policies to parents in Accra and other parts of the country.

'This is just our second year of operation and it's clear and distinct that we are living by our words of creative innovations in all aspects of our business development,' he said.

Dr Andrew Arkutu, Managing Director for Lashibi Funeral Home, expressed delight at the Lashibi Funeral Plan because of its uniqueness.

Unlike other funeral plans that demand an agreed sum of money on the death of the insured, the Lashibi Funeral Plan provides clients with the actual services and support they need from the moment the person dies, Dr Arkutu said.

In order to access claims from LFH, the customer will only need to make a call to the insurer.

He emphasized that after receiving the call, LFH will immediately collect the body and transfer it to the mortuary, embalm and preserve it under optimum conditions until the funeral.

'Again once these key steps have been taken; there will be enough time to deal with other matters.

'Our motto is dignity to the deceased and comfort to the bereaved. This is what we believe in and this informs everything we do.

'We handle everybody entrusted to our care with the utmost respect, mindful of the fact that this body once housed the soul and spirit of a fellow human being.

'Our goal is to provide bereaved families with the most comprehensive and complete funeral services that meet all acceptable international standards,' he emphasized.

The facilities of Lashibi Funeral Home, which has been in existence for 15 years, are unmatched in Ghana.

'When our cemetery becomes operational later this year, we would be able to offer our clients all funeral-related services, including excellent facilities for custodial care, cremation, an inter-denominational chapel, burial and final rites all on our premises at Lashibi. We are confident about what we do and shall continue in our efforts to maintain the standards our clients have come to expect.'
