MELCOM CARE DONATES TO THREE INSTITUTION

Melcom Care Foundation, the charity arm of the Melcom Group of Companies donated items to three beneficiaries in support of education of the less privileged in society.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Melcom Care Foundation, the Director of Communications Mr. Godwin Avenorgbo pledged the support of Melcom to the needy in society. He said Melcom considers Education and Health as key in our national development effort and Melcom's CSR policy is geared towards addressing needs in those important sectors where the less privileged are at a disadvantage.

The items which included learning materials for first cycle Schools, an Akai freezer, exercise books and stationery were given to the Methodist Primary School in the Tano North Constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region, Cocoa life projects and Hope Childrens Village.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Methodist Primary School and others in her constituency the Hon. Freda Prempeh, Member of Parliament for Tano North Constituency expressed her profound gratitude to Melcom for the kind gesture. “This presentation is very timely and will be put to good use to achieve its intended objectives” She added.

Ms. Anokyewaa Yamoah of Cocoa life projects thanked Melcom Care Foundation for the items and said she will be expecting more of such donations from the outfit.

The deep freezer for Hope Childrens Village was received by Mr. Kweku Sarkodie, Managing Director of Hope Childrens Village at Gomoa

Fetteh. He said since the schools deep freezer got damaged beyond repair, the school has spent a lot more money on perishable items. He thanked Melcom Care Foundation for coming to the rescue in a timely manner.
