WASSA is organized annually to enable security personnel socialize and make merry after a lengthy year.
Chief Superintendent Ernest Owusu said the division has three district police stations.
They include the Weija District Police Command, the Odorkor District Police Command and the Kaneshie District Police Command.
He noted that in 2013, the division dealt with land and chieftaincy issues, few robbery incidents and road crashes, which claimed some lives, as well as kidnapping of children.
'The churches at Kaneshie, Bubuashie, Darkuman and Industrial area were the main target of the kidnappers.'
He therefore entreated the officers and men of the division not to be complacent.

He noted that the attackers were not armed robbers but hired assassins.
He called on the public to provide the police with the necessary information, which would lead to the arrest of suspects, who would commit heinous crimes.
Dignitaries present at WASSA were the staff officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, DSP Eric Aseidu, Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikwei South, Ahmed Arthur, members of the Kaneshie Market Women Association, senior police officers, among others.
