First Capital Ranks 10th
First Capital Plus (FCP), a leading Savings & Loans Company, was ranked 10 th on the list of best performing companies that were announced at the recent Ghana Club 100 awards.
Per the rankings, FCP is the best performing company in the banking/savings & loans category in Ghana.
First Capital Plus, which stated operations about four years ago, was recently adjudged the Non-Bank financial institutions of the year 2012 by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) at the 24th CIMG Annual Marketing Performance Awards held at the Banquet Hall, State House.
The prestigious CIMG Annual Marketing Performance Award is organized to reward excellence in strategic marketing and leadership in an industry of operation.
Some of the key indicators used in the assessment include marketing innovation, corporate social responsibility, financial performance, industry/competitor intelligence, evidence of customer insight/profiling, visibility amongst others.
FCP Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Kofi Mensah said, 'We are delighted to be part of Ghana's top performing companies and surprised at being the 10 th best performing company for 2012. 'We are grateful to our staff, customers and stakeholders for making it possible.'
Speaking to CITY & BUSINESS GUIDE on the Club 100 award, Head of Marketing & Corporate Affairs, Nana Yaw Kess said, 'We are excited about this award and we believe that being recognized as part of Ghana's elite club is a major achievement.
'We also believe that being recognized as the best performer amongst the banking/savings & loans companies for the year 2012 is phenomenal and we will strive to consistently deliver value to our customers.'
In July, 2012 First Capital Plus was granted a provisional universal banking licence after barely three years of existence.
Currently, the company has a total of 13 operational branches and is poised to expand its branch network to 20 by mid 2014, as it prepares for strategic elevation in the financial sector.
