ASEC old students donate to alma mata
Old Students of Asuom Senior High School (ASECOSA) have presented dinning tables, benches and stools to the school to help alleviate the problems the students face when using the dining hall.
The presentation was made by the leadership of ASECOSA, led by its Vice-President, Mr. Mark Brako-Appiah at the premises of the school at Asuom in the Kwaebibirem District of the Eastern Region last week.
Making the presentation, Mr.Brako-Appiah said, “ASECOSA is a very young association formed to help provide support to our Alma Mata. We are presenting these 30 dining tables, 60 benches and 60 stools to Asuom Senior High School to help alleviate the problem of going to dining in batches which affects the educational time table on daily basis”.
“We couldn't have achieved this without the contributions of FEKEMS Co Ltd, Promasodor Ghana Ltd, Mrs. Helina Adu-Gyamfi of P-Z Cussons limited and all the members of the ASECOSA”, he added.
The Vice-President of the school hinted that the association has in mind plans to help rebuild the school as well.
“This year (2013) our Home coming and fund raising celebrations which is scheduled in October 2013 is on the theme: "A Moment of Stakeholders Contribution Towards Ensuring Quality Education”. It is our desire to use this occasion to donate a generator plant to support the lighting system for effective studies as well as some text books to revamp the school library which has been out of use for some time now. We want to use this opportunity to invite other Old students to join hands with us to uplift the image of our Alma Mata.”, he concluded.
The Headmaster of the school, Rev. Dr. Nyuienko Agotri, who received the items expressed delight at the kind gesture and urged all old students to emulate the shining example of ASECOSA.
