RE: Kaabo Formed Dombo Advocacy Forum-DAF
We refer a publication which appeared on the 8th of May, 2013 edition of the Herald news paper regarding our press release congratulating our compatriot Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on his sterling performance in the on-going court case challenging the validity of President John Dramani Mahama as the elected president of the republic Ghana.
The story which was also carried in the ghanaweb and various news media sort to attribute the persons behind the formation of the Dombo Advocacy Forum to Mr. Anthony Abaifaa Kaabo, the former National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party.
The Advocacy Forum first of all wishes to categorically state that Mr. Anthony Abaifaa Kaabo did not form the Dombo Advocacy Forum and has no knowledge about the individuals behind the organization. DAF is a political advocacy organization formed by a group of capable professionals from the north with the mission to sustainably improve the membership drive of the NPP party in the Pro-Islam, zongo's and northern regions by championing the ideals and principles of Chief Simon. D Dombo, J.A Braimah,C K Tendem,Tolon Naa Yakubu and others through education and participation in national advocacy discuss.
The publications also mentioned that the organization was formed to rival Danquah Institute and others as so mentioned in their articles. The primary aim of DAF as stated in our press release is to foster political unity and create a platform for advancing the contributions of early northern politicians eg. Chief Simon Diodong Dombo, J.A Braimah, Jato Kalou, Tolon Naa Yakubu Tali , Naa Abeifaa Karbo, Imoru Salifu and C. K. Tedem and others in the formation of NPP (Northern peoples Party 1954)and its linkage with the New Patriotic Party (NPP
The group would like to allay the fears of all good and hardworking supporters of the NPP that the group is registered and has the backing of the National party NPP to work to uplift the political fortunes of the NPP in the three Northern Regions of the North in the Pro Moslem Zongo communities where the NPP has difficulty in penetrating but not to rivalry the Danquah Institute, the Busia foundation or act as a mouth piece for any Candidate for the 2016 Presidential race rather we are poised to among other things work together with other established organizations within the party to strengthen cooperation.
The NDC over the years has benefited from the propagandist approach of being pro-Northern as against the anti-Northern centered tendencies of the NPP claim by its cohorts. The NDC is a third force in our political history and cannot lay claim to any political history as it lacks the credibility of being called a political party because it was founded on the ideology of one man whose sweat and blood it survived with the muzzle of the gun. All Northerners can trace their political history to the NPP.
There are two political traditions in Ghana the Busia Danquah Dombo tradition an amalgamation of the Northern People's Party-NPP formed in 1954 the United Party-UP 1957 which opposed Nkrumah's CPP. We also wish to unequivocally state without any speck of doubt that members of the group are not faceless nor are we being pushed by any individual as your media house sort to project. The group has competent Youth across the Nation whose single aim is to foster political unity whilst advancing the course of the NPP in all pro-Moslem Zongos and the three regions in the North.

The group would also like to thank all supporters of the NPP for their unflinching support during the December polls and their continuous support in restraining themselves from provocations. We would like to admonish them to hold on to faith whilst still retaining faith in the court process. It's evident from the on-going process that the NPP would carry the day.
