Juabeng Gov't Hospital To Open Dental Clinic

Preparations are far advanced for Juaben Government Hospital which serves as the Municipal hospital for Ejisu Juaben Municipality in the Ashanti Region to commence a modern dental clinic this year.

The Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Prosper K. Gbekor, who announced this during the end of year party organized by the hospital for its workers on Thursday, said that all the needed equipment and accessories to start the dental clinic had been installed and ready for operation this year.

During the programme, 13 staffs of the hospital were awarded for their hard work and dedication to duty. The overall best worker for 2012 went to Madam Veronica Arko of Maternity Department of the hospital and went home with a 24 inch flat Television.

He said that when the clinic commenced it would reduce the burden people with dental problems in the municipality went through before receiving medical treatment.

He stated that the staff sponsored by the hospital to undergone training to manage the clinic would complete their course and returned to post by middle of this year to set up the clinic.

Dr. Prosper K. Gbekor, mentioned that the hospital recorded 53, 849 OPD attendance cases and major general operations performed at the facility during the year was 194.

He said that during the year 2012, they were able to start the medical records modification and extension works which had reached the foundation level and construction of pharmacy block.

He told the gathering that the hospital was considering to construct a modern emergency ward to cater for all emergency cases and therefore appealed to individuals and cooperate bodies to place the hospital on their development agenda.
