THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROPHESY OF DANIEL (cont'n) PART 4.

CHRISTIANITY: THE OFFICIAL RELIGION OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE.

The first mention of Christians from a perspective of Roman government intervention occurred under Claudius (41–54AD). From Acts 11:26 “And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch”. Since the Jews were constantly causing disturbances at the instigation of the Messiah, he (Claudius) expelled them from the city (Rome), but, despite his action, some believers still remained.

While the rise of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to dominate western religion might very well have been inevitable, certain key moments along the way helped secure this position. The arrival of the Constantinian Dynasty was one such moment. In the early 4th century, 306 AD, Constantine rose to Emperor in the West upon the death of his father Constantius. However, he and his brother-in-law, and co-emperor in the west, Maxentius were bitter rivals. Open hostility and war broke out between the two after several years of political scheming. Before the two met in the fateful battle of the Milvian Bridge in 312 AD, Constantine supposedly, had a vision of the sign of burning cross in a dream, and he was instructed to place the heavenly sign on the battle standards of his army.

The “chi-rho” symbol, as was called, was described by Eusebius as "a long spear, overlaid with gold", which included a bar crossing the spear to form the shape of a cross. "On the top of the whole was fixed a wreath of gold and precious stones, and within this the symbol of the letter X intersection P at the centre". Included with the banner were the words: “In hoc signo vinces” (in this sign you shall conquer), and armed with this power, Constantine crushed Maxentius securing his place as sole western Emperor.

Many biblical historians, theologians, heretics and philosophers describe this burning cross as the “sign of Christ”, and explain it as Christ who assisted Constantine with power to win the battle. Note, cross is one of the most ancient human symbols, and had been used by many religions even before the time of Constantine and the formation of Christianity. This particular cross took the shape of a letter "T" and "T" is the initial of the god Tammuz whilst the “P” represents the Priest. The symbol ☧ within the symbol at the centre actually is the initials of the Priest of Tammuz (PX). No wonder Christianity spread through Crusaders.

Is this symbol for the “Messiah” really what we think it is?

The truth is, this is an ancient worship symbol vastly predates the coming of our Saviour, portraying the power behind the coming anti-messiah.

“Labarum is the name by which the military standard adopted by the emperor Constantine the Great after his celebrated vision was known in antiquity. In form, the labarum of Constantine was an adaptation of the already existing cavalry standard of the Roman army; this pagan emblem was merely replaced by Christian symbol.” (Catholic Encyclopedia (1913)/Labarum (Chi-Rho))

Not only was this pagan symbol well known in the pagan world centuries before our Savior even came into the scene, it was associated with something that is completely ignored, and for good reason! Note, the “S” wrapping the bottom portion of the vertical pole in the picture above. This is the ancient astrological sign of 'serpens', the symbol of the serpent healers! [See Snake Worship and Astrology]

We note in the above passage that it begins with the oracle of Pythian, a snake deity of wisdom and healing, which we saw represented on the lower portion of the ancient chi-rho symbol, so there is a clear connection between the serpent, the pre-christian “Chrestes” which begins with chi-rho –XP, and the symbol ☧. In addition, “Chrestes”, the one who explains the meaning of oracles is connected as the one who makes offerings for/to the oracle.

Chrestos: The root of Christianity

We need to bear in mind that “Chrestos” was worshipped and the ☧was well known long before Messiah's arrival. Note that “Christianos is a Latinism, that does not come from neither Yahushua Messiah (Jesus the Christ) nor the Sect of the Way or the Jews, but “suggests a Pagan origin”. Osirus … Tammuz … Mithras … Chrestos, all linked by the universal symbol ☧, chi-rho, and the snake entwined staff of Mercury & Aesculapius!

A statue of Aion from Ostia, now in the Vatican, shows a gradual attempts

to establish a universal and all-embracing divinity by ascribing a variety of attributes to the god. On his chest are Jupiter's thunderbolts flanked by two keys, and beside his feet are the hammer and tongs of Vulcan, the magic wand of Mercury, the cock of Aesculapius and the pine-cone of Attis. The keys indicate Janus, the Roman god who, as gate-keeper of heaven, opens the gates at sunrise and closes them again at sunset.

The Chi-rho [☧] became an important Christian symbol when adopted by the Roman Emperor Constantine. The letters xP [chi-rho], which originally predated Messiah and used to identify “Crestos”, the 'saviour/healing' principle, may also be interpolated and offset ... Px creating the famous Pharmacia symbol! When symbols are reversed they generally indicate that the meaning is also reversed. If anciently the Greek letters chi-rho [XP] later came to refer to the “Messiah”, reversing the letters may indicate a return to the “Crestos”, or possibly a reference to the “anti-Messiah”.

Yahweh gives us His perspective in Jeremiah 6. The time frame of this is “at the time that I visit them”, so it would be at the time of Messiah. Jeremiah 6:13-16 says “For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. 14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. 15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith YAHWEH. 16 Thus saith YAHWEH, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein”.

Notice that this involves the least to the greatest (Rev 13:16), showing a universal application, and that healing is connected to Peace, which, according to Yahweh, is a false sense of peace. Plus they choose to continue their own ways and are not the least bit ashamed of their abominations, denying the power and authority of Yahweh. Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:5 “Having a form of true worship, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away”.

Satan appears as something good and beautiful. 2Corinthians 11:14 “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light”. Does that make Satan good? Can Satan evolve into something good ... or is it just the appearance of good? Luke 18:8 “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.

Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth”? The Serpent is the destroyer of faith. Not just any “faith”, but the Faith of Yahushua Messiah, which we are supposed to have in us! (Never heard of the name Yahushua? This was the original Name of what was translated Jesus and it was erased from the scriptures!
