Corporate Ghana observes Prof Mills' one week celebration
Some corporate institutions have canceled some major events originally scheduled for today to observe the one week celebration of the death of Prof. Mills.
Notable among them is the release of Ghana Investment Promotion Centre's 2nd quarter Investments Report and the Venture Capital Trust Fund's Angel Investor forum. Also is the launch of the 2012 Ghana Banking Survey by Price Water House Coopers.
Access Bank's media briefing on some developments in the bank has also been postponed. The Ghana Revenue Authority has also called off a planned meeting with the media on its new self-assessment policy for domestic tax payers.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Employers Association has also urged its members to observe a minute silence later today at 2:15pm in honour of the late president.
“This is in support of the Ministry of Information's directive for the entire nation to observe a minute silence in memory of our departed president. Since the passing of the president, Corporate Ghana has been expressing grieve and shock. The greatest tribute that Corporate Ghana can pay to our departed president is therefore to ensure that his desire to invest in people and jobs becomes a reality to address the problem of unemployment” he said.
Meanwhile, Some corporate entities are also giving out freebies in honour of John Evans Attah Mills. Mobile operator, MTN is offering its subscribers free two minutes talk time today on their network.
