Committee to submit report on Allied Air crash today
The committee investigating last month's cargo plane crash will present its report to the Ministry of Transport today.
The Nigerian Allied Air Boeing 727 cargo plane overshot the runway at the Kotoka International Airport during landing, smashing the perimeter fence and killing ten people on the spot.
Chaired by retired pilot Captain Alec Grant Sam, the committee was tasked to establish the cause of the accident, the extent of injuries and damage to property and also make recommendations on how to prevent a recurrence.
Executive Director of the Bureau of Public Safety, Davidson Akwade, tells Joy News he expects the report to take a detailed look at the state of the airports runway.
