HP launches new notebook computers

Hewlett-Packard (HP), a multinational information technology corporation, has launched a range of new thin and light ultra books and sleek books computers to augment the growing need of convenient and mobile computers.

Offering both class and substance, the HP ENVY Sleek books and HP ENVY Ultra books systems, which will be on the market in mid-June this year, will provide the ultimate entertainment experience in a small package combined with high performance.

Speaking at the launch of the products in Accra, the Africa Channel Sales Manager for HP, Mr Burak Borhan, stated that the new products would help address the needs of consumers who wanted a high sense and bigger screen machine that can also be easy to move around.

Taking the press through the features of the products, Mr Borhan said the new HP ENVY collection had a great entertainment and powerful performance in an ultra slim, ultra light form factor.

The products also has beats audio, dual speakers and a subwoofer that will boost its sound experience.

The HP ENVY Ulta books, which is available in 35.6cm (14 inches) and 39.6cm (15.6 inches) display sizes, include the latest intel core processors with up to 10 hours of battery life with many other intel qualities.

The HP ENVY sleek books are also available with a 35.6cm (14 inches) display and the latest intel core processors or a 39.6cm (15.6 inches) diagonal display and the latest AMD Accelerated Processing Units (APU), which boosts up to eight hours of battery life.

Mr Borhan noted that HP Limited would establish a world class retail structure in the country, and expressed optimism that the products would help boost and drive their market share.

“We want to expand our branches in Ghana to reinvest into the country and help to create employment opportunities for the youth and help in developing the country”, he added.

The country Managing Director of HP Ghana Limited, Mr George Anti Ohene, stated that he was happy to be part of the launch of the new product.

He assured Ghanaians that the company was ready to help grow the economy, thus it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Ghana to recruit some of its students to work with HP Ghana Limited.

He affirmed that they would continue to liaise with other schools in that regard to help groom the students professionally as the company also grow, to help cut down the unemployment rate in the country.
