ABUJA (AFP) - A loud explosion was heard on Thursday in the Nigerian capital Abuja followed by smoke and ambulances which appeared to be headed in the direction of the blast, an AFP reporter witnessed.
The blast appeared to come from the direction of a district where a bus station and newspaper office are located. A police spokesman said "we heard something like that happened, but we don't have the details yet."
