DIASPORA AFRIKANS, DEAD TO THEIR AFRIKAPAST,

DIASPORA AFRIKANS DEAD TO THEIR AFRIKAPAST or THE CRISIS OF KEEPING DIASPORA AFRIKANS UPROOTED FROM AND IGNORANT OF THE POWER, PRIDE AND DIGNITY OF THEIR GLORIOUS CONTINENTAL AFRIKAPAST, By (c) 2012 by Prof. Afrikadzata Deku, Docteur d'Etat; Doctorat d'Etat (PhD); AFRIKALION@AOL.COM ;

While Colonialism/neo-colonialism has done an "excellent" job in depriving Continental Afrikans of the knowledge and pride of their glorious Continental Afrikan Past, Slavery, colonialism and neo-colonialism have completely uprooted and kept 99% of today's Diaspora Afrikans completely ignorant of their Glorious Afrikan past.

Like their brothers and sisters in continental Afrika, Diaspora Afrikans were taught everything about others but little or nothing about their Glorious Continental AfrikaPast, History, Heritage, Identity, Root and Culture .

Later, when they were taught any history at all, it was the history of slavery. As far as their slave masters and their today's puppets were concerned, before Afrikans were brought to USA and other parts of the "new world," they had no history worth studying.

The only history worth studying is their slave history in USA and how they were set free within the White World Order they call their own and how they have been beating all odds in becoming the equal of the White Man .

Anything beyond or outside that is not encouraged. And yet the majority of Diaspora Afrikans up till today still believe their history starts from slavery. Only few of them know and believe that the origin of their history or past was not USA, Europe or West Indies but Afrika.

This lack of knowledge of their Glorious Continental AfrikaPast can only lead to crisis of history and confusion in the minds of the majority of Diaspora Afrikan scholars and leaders.

This explains why up till today, in USA colleges and universities ("Black and White") for example, Afrikan History/Studies/Departments or Centers are considered "separate" and "different" from what that they call" African-American" History/Studies/ Departments/Programs which is nothing but Afrikan History/Studies at best or digression or deformation of Afrikan history/Studies at worse.

And as long as Diaspora Afrikans prefer their Euro-centric slave-based and slave-oriented history or Past to their Continental Afrikan History or Past is to prefer the chaff to the grain. No matter what name we give it, Afrikan-American History/Studies/Departments or Afro-American History/Studies or Black History/Studies or Negro/Nigger History/Studies, Diaspora Afrikan History/Studies without Afrikan History/Studies as its Source/Origin is like a river without fish.

The history or experience of slavery and colonialism is a history of Foreign brutality, domination, control, degradation, exploitation etc. against all Continental/Diaspora Afrikans.

It is a history of shame no sensible person or people will take pride in. It is a negative experience, accident of history no reasonable person or people can refer to as their origin or history.

Slavery/colonialism should be seen as nothing more or less than a deformation or an unfortunate part of Afrikan History/Past or experience.

And yet in both Continental/Diaspora Afrika, we still continue erroneously to refer or teach our Afrikan Past or History as colonial or slave history or Past-based and oriented .

To continue to do so is to give credit to our colonial and slave masters and their today's faithful disciples/students who believe that without colonialism and slavery, Afrikans, the world over would have been without history and civilizations.

As long as we continue to boast of and talk of our slave/colonial pasts in terms of our "achievements" , "success" , 'legacy” or 'heritage” in our present alien slave/colonial world, all we are saying is that without slave or colonial experiences, we would not be the First this; the First that in USA and any of our existing Foreign created and directed environments.

Likewise, like the apostles of Negritude of the French speaking "African" world, few Diaspora Afrikan scholars are now beginning to preach what they call" African-American/'Black" or "Afro-American Culture" into the heavily dosed Euro-centric curriculum.

Likewise, some call for "Afro-centric" view or perspective of their present Euro-centric curriculum and education.

But not until all these efforts of Afrikanization of our forgotten Afrikan Past/History are truly Afrikan and not slave/colonial based, colonial/Diaspora Afrikans, no matter their past and present reforms, will continue to suffer from lack of knowledge of their Glorious Continental Afrikan Past, they know little or nothing about .
