Fair Wages and Salaries Commission holds thanksgiving service

Accra, Dec. 21, GNA- Bishop James Saah, Presiding Bishop, Action Chapel International, Spintex Road, on Tuesday appealed to Christians to cultivate the habit of thanksgiving, giving and forgiving in an effort to attract the blessings of God.

“Thanksgiving, giving and forgiveness come from the heart, so if we exhibit such acts, God, in His infinite mercies, would bless you”.

Bishop Saah said this during a thanksgiving service organized by the management and staff of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission at the Accra International Conference Centre.

“We should give thanks as long as we have life, since it is one of the surest ways of knowing that we can inherit the promises of God. As long as we have life, we have hope”, he said.

He said although the Commission had a turbulent year, as far as the Single Spine Salary Structure migration was concerned, they had managed to sail through successfully.

Mr George Smith Graham, the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, said although the year was a challenging one, they had been able to meet their target of migrating about 98 percent of government workers unto the Single Spine Salary structure.

“For now, we have only 25 institutions representing two percent left to be migrated unto the scheme and we are working on them”.

He said all arrangements had been completed to migrate all medical doctors unto the scheme by the end of December.
